Hello Adventurous Gunners,
The threat of snow kept many shooters at home, but a hearty 16 managed to overcome the weather and participate. The shortened field finished quickly at about 6:45. Breanna Broadnax joined us for the first time. Welcome Breanna. As always, the set-up, pasting, brassing and tear-down elves kept things running smoothly.
Safety
Thanks to all for observing safety protocols. There were no incidents.
Observations
This COF presented some obstacle that needed to be overcome to engage each target. On targets 1,2,5 & 6, it was a curtain that needed to be brushed aside. On 3 & 4, shooters had to fire over a barrel in front of the target. Scores were good, but negotiating the curtains slowed most shooters down, so run times were a little long. The curtains were also directly responsible for the 4 muzzle penalties assessed as shooters tilted their guns upward to clear the lane barriers as they moved between targets. The barrels proved to be no problem, as none were hit, and most shots were in the "A" area on 3 & 4.
