MNTC MONTHLY RACQUET
Dear Members,

We have made an improvement to how memberships will be handled moving forward. Most of the memberships are up for renewal in November. The membership renewal or new membership purchase between November 1, 2019 and October 31, 2020 will be the last time the paperwork will need to be filled out. The membership for each subsequent year will auto renew. The date on the parking pass will coincide with your date of auto renewal. The members will be notified of any increases which may take effect in October.

A member may resign after the 12 initial months of membership when 30 days’ notice is given. A member may not rejoin the club once resigned unless a period of 12 months has lapsed. If a member wished to rejoin prior to the 12 months lapse in membership, they will be responsible for the time which has lapsed.

This process will eliminate the need for filling out paperwork each year.

We are also looking forward to the "Men's Club Championships" happending this Saturday and Sunday beggingin at 9 am!

See you on the courts,
-Mike Caboy

Here is the fee structure for membership as of November 1, 2019:

*Fees are subject to annual increases. MNTC will notify members of increase at least 30 days prior to increase, which will be in effect in November of each year.
MNTC extended weekend hours are now in effect!
We are now open from 9AM-6PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Providence Tennis Club

Thank you to Terrah Hogue for organizing the "Tennis Club" from Providence Classical School. MNTC has a blast hosting this energetic group on Fridays!

Did you know?

If your school doesn't have a tennis team or the facilities to host a tennis team, you can start your own club at MNTC! Players are divided into groups by age and ability where new players learn to serve, rally, and score and experienced players grow and enhance their skills in a 6- to 8-week program. If are interested in starting a club, please reach out to Coach Neely at 703-994-1758.

Get to Know Robin Cambier:
Tribe Women's Assistant Coach

We are excited to welcome Coach Robin Cambier in his first season as assistant coach of the Tribe Women's Tennis Team. He comes to Williamsburg with a wealth of experience, having played Division I Collegiate Tennis for Oregon State, having assistant coached at Washington State, and assistant coached at Florida State, while obtaining his Master's Degree in Sports Management.

Coach Q&A:
What makes a great coach? "A great coach has a knowledge of the game, cares about his or her players, and pushes his or her players."

What is the best part of coaching college tennis? "The team aspect creates a greater purpose to practice and competition. Being a college tennis coach also means being a life coach, guiding players as they pursue a degree or even a professional tennis career."

Fun Fact: "I can balance things on my nose, including a tennis racket."

Favorite Tennis Players of the Past and Present: "Marat Safin, James Blake, Gael Monfils, and of course Federer."

Who inspires you? "Alex Rovello, my former teammate who passed away, was always giving back to others, and has inspired me to do more for other people. I have a tattoo dedicated to him."

What are you most looking forward to this season for the Tribe? "Working hard, getting better every day, and hopefully winning the CAA tournament."
