MOBILITY MONDAY

Message From Our Executive Director, Greg Stuart

Welcome to the latest edition of the Broward MPO's Mobility Monday newsletter. This week, we're looking at the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), electrification, and mobility. The Sunshine State can no longer wait to invest in the clean electrification of our transportation system. The IRA will boost America’s solar energy industry and bring large increases in incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. The Broward MPO is already investing in sustainable forms of transportation, which include EVs, and building out a robust multimodal system that is accessible to all of our residents. The sunshine that brings tourists can also bring new technologies and create an even more vibrant economy.

Broward MPO Wins Award for Board Engagement

The Broward MPO was recently recognized for best industry practices by the Florida Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council with an award for our Board Engagement Forum.

This annual event furthers the knowledge base of the Broward MPO Board and provides a forum to discuss important issues regarding our region. We are looking forward to the next Board Engagement Forum which is happening in January 2023.
