Message From Executive Director, Greg Stuart | |
Last week, the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization and Broward County Government were awarded a $5 million Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) Action Plan Grant. Our joint award is the highest in Florida and one of the highest in the nation. This award will fund a comprehensive safety plan for the entire county. Once complete, our region will be eligible for tens of millions of dollars for construction to address safety concerns. This truly shows what we can accomplish by working together. We will be formally announcing the grant selection at a press conference on February 16. I am excited for the future of Broward County and look forward to building a safer environment for everyone on the road.
