Message From Our Executive Director, Greg Stuart

Welcome to the latest edition of our Mobility Monday! This week we're excited to launch our new podcast series, "Let's Talk Transportation." Please listen in to the first episode of the series dealing with transportation in South Florida! We get to talk about the past, present, and future of transportation, economic development, and affordable housing in our region. I’ve already interviewed mayors, engineers, elected officials, business leaders, and so many others! I know I have learned a lot, and we hope that you find our podcasts engaging and informative. We're always on the lookout for great guests, and constructive feedback. Please feel free to e-mail me with your suggestions.

Executive Director Greg Stuart Sits Down With

WLRN to Discuss Quiet Zones

Our Executive Director Greg Stuart sat down with WLRN's Michael McEwen to discuss the issue of removing quiet zones along the Brightline corridor. According to WLRN, Broward County’s portion of the corridor has become the country’s deadliest railway per mile, prompting a federal review – and possible removal – of a horn-free zone that could soon target Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties as well. Find out how the Broward MPO is working with the Federal Railroad Administration to address this issue. Click here to learn more.
