THE FIVEFOLD MINISTRY

The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity.

"But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself."

THE “I AM”

LESSON 4

__________________________

In my honest opinion [IMHO], there could be no stronger proof than when Jesus stated His name as “I AM” and the temple guards were immediately “slain in the Spirit.” However, today we will look at some of His other “I AM" statements in Matthew.

In Matthew 18:20 where Jesus was talking to His disciples, He said, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”  Yes, “I am there with them” says that no matter where they are he would be with them. This speaks of the omnipresence of Jesus [present everywhere throughout all time.] Only Almighty God is present everywhere, so this shows Jesus is equal with the Almighty Father.

Next, we see in Matthew 20:15 where Jesus addresses skeptics. He said, “Why callest thou me good? There is none good but One, that is God [Father]…”  So, Jesus in essence was equated as “good” like unto the Father.

In Matthew 28:20 Jesus gave the “Great Commission,” and said in verse 20, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” This affirms his deity for all eternity. Verse 18 affirms that he has “all power” in heaven and earth. Only God has such power, so again it shows that he is God.

Next, we will examine his “I AM” statements in the gospel of John. This will not only affirm his deity but will also confirm his personal interest in his relationship with us as his followers.

HOW TO BE AN OVERCOMER ____________________

As we read the scriptures, we see many Old and New Testament saints that “endured” much hardship. In Hebrews chapter 11 are some of the things they endured. Among those things are reproach, fear, sinful lifestyle, the sword, lions’ dens, battles, fire, mockings, scourgings, imprisonment and many more challenges. In spite of these things horrific challenges, these saints of old did not quit. They knew when they were called by God that it might cost them their lives, but they had no fear of death.

In Revelation chapter 12 we learn about the adversary that brought about all these things. He is relentless. In Revelation 12:11 it says, “And they [the saints] overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Three things caused these saints to win. First, they overcame by the blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, applied to their sin. Second, they overcome by sharing their testimony with others and leading them also to Jesus Christ. By doing this they were advancing the kingdom of God. Thirdly, they had no fear of death because they knew if they died where they were going!

When we realize these things, we cannot be defeated by our adversary the devil. We are defeated only when we quit! The same three things that worked for the saints of old work for us also.

Do not let the devil mess with your mind. Use your authority that God has given you by resisting the devil and he will flee. Share your testimony as often as you can and know that death is not the end of life. It is the beginning of an eternity with Jesus Christ!

A WORD FROM THE LORD

We often hear of generational cursing but there are also generational gifting and blessings.

I hear the Lord saying that the blessings and giftings from the last five generations of your heritage are about to be poured into those that are willing to take the mantle and walk in it.

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

7-21-2024

There will be times in LIFE when you must put BEHIND you; The disappointment of NOT getting what you THOUGHT you wanted…At THE time. However, you know you should have been LEARNING to ACCEPT what you actually GOT and WHERE you are NOW; And that’s called PEACE. The bottom line is we’ve all made wrong decisions at some point in time along life’s journey; But we each have to LEARN to be CONTENT regardless of where we may find ourselves at the moment…While we’re on the way to WHERE God has us GOING. Just remember God always has our best interest on His mind. In the Bible Paul found this to be true…And he wrote these words. “I have learned to be content in whatever situation I am in". (Phil. 4:11b)

Monday Thought For Today

“Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things. No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Does anyone else think this sounds like our country? Even though things are not good, God tells us over and over how to correct our situation.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a promise and here is one more to contemplate.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So as a nation and as a people of God we have the answer to repentance and receiving forgiveness. Seek Him while He can be found!

  Praise! HCC

Let’s praise the God of our Fathers, Let’s thank

Him for all he is. For all he does, and oh, how he

Forgives. Praise our Lord on high. Give thanks

Each and every day. Let’s put God back in this

Country, as we most humbly pray. Pray for life,

Pray for freedom, pray for all to see and know you.

Pray for Revival in our land, as we lift our hands

To the Heavens. As we kiss the Cross of love.

As we feel the grace you give.
