THE LIFE OF MOSES – LESSON 30
MOSES COMMUNES WITH GOD
ON THE MOUNTAIN
_______________________
In Exodus 19 we see that Israel is now into their third month in the wilderness. They left Rephidim and moved to the desert of Sinai. They made camp near Mount Sinai where God was ready to teach Moses all that he was to instruct the people.
Moses would commune with God on the mountain. God also manifested Himself to the people below through a thick cloud over Mt. Sinai along with thundering, and lightning, and the quaking of the mountain, and the voice of an exceeding loud trumpet.
The people were forbidden to approach the mountain. Boundaries were set. The priests were allowed to come near the mountain but could not touch it. Only Aaron and Moses were allowed on the mountain at that time. (Later Joshua, Moses’ servant was with Moses.)
God would call Moses up, then send him down, then call him up again. The end results were that the ten commandments were given as well as all the other ordinances.
Moses had such an intimate relationship with God that he and Jehovah could talk back and forth with one another. I see no other Old Testament figure (other than Adam and Eve) that had such direct communication. God did communicate with others, but not like it was with Moses.
God communicates with us today through His Holy Spirit. We have the logos which is the written word, Bible, and the living word, Jesus, but it is Holy Spirit who opens our understanding of the logos with His rhema word directly to us. Let your “ears” always be open to Holy spirit.

WEARING GOD’S CLOTHING
___________________________________
Isaiah 61:10 tells us, “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.”
How wonderful to know when we receive salvation that there is a great exchange. In 2 Corinthians 5:21 it says, “For he [the Father] hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Talk about a change of clothing! Our dirty rags of sin now are exchanged for Jesus’ robe of righteousness. This is the beginning of our new wardrobe, but it doesn’t end there. God also wants us to put on some other things.
In Colossians 3:12 in the NRSV it says, "12As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.”
Compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience are things God wants us to choose to wear. We are to clothe ourselves with these, and our lives will change from the inside out. If everyone that calls them a Christian started to wear these things, the Church as a whole would be healthy, and the world would see that being a Christian truly transforms a person. They would be drawn to God through our “clothing.”
What are we wearing? If we truly want to serve God, then we must choose to wear “His” clothing.

PROPHETIC WORD
AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS
Just as the tender sprouts long for the spring rain and are nourished when it comes, so you, too, have been longing for the refreshing that only I can bring. The season has been very dry for you my child, but I have allowed it to draw you closer to me, for in my presence is the spring rain, the summer growth, and the fall harvest. Every season is important for you, which has brought you to where you are today.
For there is a moment in time when I would say come and sit at my feet. As you do that you will feel the fresh spring rain fall upon your dry and weary soul. It is the place where the fallow ground is broken up and you receive the water of life. It is the place where we meet face to face, and you feel my presence. My child, you must surely know that the season of dryness, or winter has passed for you and things will start to break forth in many ways for you. You will see the old gone and the fresh new start of something better than was.
For you have endured when others did not do so. You have pressed through the hard ground when others did not do so. You have been found faithful, and I reward faithfulness. So, let the spring rain fall upon you and enjoy it. You will see that it has been worth the trials that you have gone through to bring you to this place. You will see things grow through the spring and summer, and there is a harvest for you that you have never dreamed of. For, I, the Lord am bringing the spring rain. Believe it, receive it, and conceive it saith the Lord.

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY
PROPHETIC EXHORTATION
A big key to being wise and living a peaceful life in complete victory and full of joy is; You knowing who you can trust to keep close in your heart and in your life. Now remember that important kind of decision can only come from one simple thing; And that is you knowing who to allow open access into your life; And those you need to keep at a safe distance from you and overlook what they say and what they do. Just know that it’s only then that you’ll be able to get up from that discouraging place you’ve been in; And quickly move on down the happy road of life. Oh, yes and soon you’ll be living great, loving well, totally enjoying life and…Without all the messy drama those kind of people seem to always carry with them. Today as you’re giving this much prayer and thought; Just be sure that you determine to have yourself a genuinely peaceful, positive and soul searching God sent blessed kind of day; As you hold onto God’s unchanging hand…And fully trust Him through it all.

Monday Thought For Today
Praise is our weapon. As we reach out to God in prayer He will fight our battles as we praise and worship Him. Never forget that God has a plan and purpose for each of us. We could have messed up and thought that we would never be accepted or forgiven again. But 2 Chronicles 20 shows how God goes before His people to deliver them as they praise and worship Him. When you aren’t seeing the help from God, praise Him. Worship Him and watch what only He can do.
“And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.”
II Chronicles 20:21-22 NKJV
Forever He is glorified!
Forever He is lifted high!
