Date Changes for 2 Factory Classes Create Open Seats

Circumstances beyond the control of two instructors have caused new start dates for two different 6-week classes at The Actor Factory.

Unavoidable sudden family commitments have created a push to Acting Technique, taught by Leesa Neidel, and the debut of The Factory's newest class Comedy Technique with Josh Fadem. The reschedules have created openings in each class.

Acting Technique, a great class for beginners and a refresher course for intermediate actors, will now begin it's final 6-week session of 2023 this Sunday night, October 22. This class is for adults aged 18+.

Leesa Neidel is a spectacularly kind, supportive and gentle instructor, taking even the most nervous beginners to a comfort level they can be proud of. The class is limited to only 12 participants and is offered from 7-9 pm in The Factory. Cost for this class is $299.

More info on that class can be found HERE.

The debut of the brand new class Comedy Technique, taught by the amazingly funny Josh Fadem, will now have to push two weeks, to begin November 5. The 6-week class is offered on Sunday nights from 6-8 pm in Studio 2.

Josh Fadem, who lists dozens and dozens of comedic performances in a wide range of film and television, will help actors come out of their shell and learn to make comic choices in their characters. This class is great for beginners to advanced actors. The class was previously sold out and on a wait list, but the new unavoidable start date opened up two slots.

This class is limited to 14 participants. Cost for the class is $295.

2 Factory Workshops Also Changing Dates

It seems like this Memo is all about reschedules, but we also had two workshops change their dates.

First, Los Angeles talent manager Steve Rodriguez was set to make his first visit to The Factory the weekend of November 11-12. A sudden family commitment caused him to reach out last week and ask to move the weekend to January. The 2-day workshop on Audition Technique has now been moved to January 27-28 from 9 am - 5 pm.

The date change created a few openings in the weekend.

Only 20 seats are available for this weekend that will cover prepared reads as well as cold reads. Participants must be over the age of 18. Cost for the weekend is $450.

That same day, longtime Factory instructor Alissa Branch reached out to inform us her Overcoming Nerves & Finding Confidence one-day workshop had to push to another date. An accomplished voice over actor, Alissa was offered a week-long book narration, and needed yesterday to rest her voice.

This one-day workshop, set from 10 am - 4 pm, will slide into the Sunday, November 12 slot made available by the Rodriguez change.

This day-long event will be suitable for beginners to advanced actors, and will be exercises in ways of shaking nerves. The afternoon will be spent in practical application of those techniques with script and scene work.

Only 12 actors aged 18+ are permitted in this workshop.

To enroll in either of these workshops, click the icon on the right. For questions, call/text 405.323,3354 or email [email protected]
