Provincial Priorities Research
Has your perspective changed?
Last year, 1 in 4 Alberta businesses said federal policies were the top issue facing the province.
A lot can change in a year.
With ongoing economic shifts and trade uncertainty, we are asking you to take a few minutes to share what you are seeing in your business today. What has changed, what has not, and where we should focus next.
This activity takes less than 8 minutes and is open until June 12 at 5:00 PM.
| | |
Your input helps ensure our advocacy reflects real business conditions and the decisions you are making every day.
Thanks for taking part. We truly value your perspective.

Alberta Chambers of Commerce 88th AGM & Policy Plenary
Our Executive Director, Marilyne Aalhus, and Board President, Tim Unger, were proud to represent the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce 88th AGM & Policy Plenary in Whitecourt this past week.
This annual gathering brings chamber leaders from across Alberta together to collaborate, discuss key business priorities, and help shape policy recommendations that support a strong, competitive business environment across the province.
During the Policy Plenary, chamber delegates from across Alberta debated and adopted 28 policy resolutions that will help guide advocacy with the provincial and federal governments. This year’s priorities focused on key issues impacting Alberta businesses, including workforce development, economic competitiveness, market access, regulatory efficiency, rural economic sustainability, and innovation.
We are also proud to share that our Past President, Shane Groarke, Founding Partner and Lawyer at GP Law in Airdrie, has been welcomed as Secretary on the Alberta Chambers of Commerce Executive Committee for 2026–2027.
Congratulations, Shane! Your continued leadership is a wonderful reflection of Airdrie’s strong voice within the provincial chamber network.

Airdrie & District Community Foundation
On the surface, Airdrie is a bright and prosperous city — one we can all be proud of. Beneath the surface, though, many of our fellow citizens live with real challenges: mental health, literacy problems, food insecurity, and other issues. Governments provide many supports and services, but serious gaps remain.
That's where Airdrie's charitable organizations fit in, providing hope and resources to neighbours who carry heavier loads. We at the Airdrie & District Community Foundation encourage you to donate to them. Every donation not only helps those in need, but also encourages volunteers to keep doing their vital work.
Alternatively, if you would like to support many organizations at once with a single donation that lasts forever, the Foundation offers a powerful option. Your donation goes into our permanent fund, where the principal is never touched — and interest earned from the fund is distributed to local registered charities. This year, the Community Foundation distributed $75,000 to 13 local charities.
Show your support and get your name (or company name) on the legacy tree at Genesis Place, Airdrie with a minimum $1,000 donation. And… a donation over $10,000 allows you to direct where future grants go. Other thoughts: consider putting the Foundation in your will, and/or consider making the Foundation the beneficiary on a life insurance policy. Lots of ways to leave a legacy, reach out if you want more info!
