Gratitude For The Support!

Thank you to everyone who has given their time and resources to support MPA. Whether you donated food to the MPA Helping Hands Food Drive, contributed to the Fall Campaign, or volunteered to support staff appreciation or pack meal bags, your efforts matter.

Your generosity strengthens our work and helps us serve our community in a meaningful way.

Help Make The Book Festival A Success!

First of all, big shout-out to the Middle School Design Club for creating this year’s Book Festival logo! Discover books for all age ranges and support our school community. We hope to see you there.

Monday, December 8-Friday, December 12

Martin Lenz Harrison Library

We need you to help make this year’s Book Festival a success! By volunteering your time, you play a key role in creating an unforgettable reading experience for our students. We’re looking for parent volunteers to run the simple checkout system in the library—no experience needed! Sign up for as little as one hour or stay for a half day. Every bit of help makes a big difference.

For information about the festival, like purchasing books, the e-wallet, donating funds, and more, please visit MPA's Scholastic website. For additional information, including purchasing hours, please click here.

Special Events

Join us for one—or both—of our joyful, book-loving events celebrating the Book Festival. Each event is designed to bring our community together in the spirit of creativity, connection, and winter cheer.

  • Tuesday, December 9 | Parent Gift-Making Night | 6:30-8:30 PM | Makerspace: Come solo or with friends for this adults-only evening of creativity and connection. Enjoy snacks and beverages while crafting handmade gifts with the help of MPA’s own Makerspace experts: Mr. Braafladt, Mr. Moran, and Mr. Andrews. Choose from laser-engraved bookmarks, hand-bound books, or explore 3D printing. Leave with a heartfelt, handmade gift—and maybe a few new friends too.

  • Wednesday, December 10 | After-School Story and Craft | 3-4 PM | Family Commons: Bring the whole family for a cozy afternoon filled with snow-themed stories shared by Mr. Ewer and Ms. Kollm. Then, enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while making a winter-themed craft with your student. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season together.

Please kindly RSVP by December 5 if you plan on attending either of the special events.

MPA Do Right Helping Hands Food Drive

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations and to the 30-plus parent and Upper School student day-of volunteers. With your help, we were able to deliver 170+ “Go-Bags,” with an additional 20 bags of food, totaling over 1,600 pounds! A special thanks to the development and communications teams for their involvement in making this food drive such a collaborative and positive effort.

College Counselor Appreciation

Thanks to everyone involved in assisting our Upper School students with applying to the colleges of their choice. Writing unique recommendation letters, offering feedback on essays, helping a student weigh pros and cons of different school choices—whatever role you play, our students and parents are grateful.

Treats in the college counseling office from Nothing Bundt Cakes, including two gluten-free selections—sponsored by the Parents Association!

The MPA PA is 100% parent-led! If you want more information on how to get involved or have ideas to share, we want to hear from you. Please reach out to us at PA@moundsparkacademy.org at any time.
