Parents Association Highlights From April
Cultural Celebration Day
This year’s Cultural Celebration Day, sponsored by the MPA Office of Equity and Belonging and the Parents Association, was a success, featuring 16 tables hosted by students, families, and staff. Cultures and countries represented at the tables included: China, Colombia, Egypt, France, Ireland, Kenya, Pakistan, Scotland, Serbia/Montenegro, Singapore, Somalia, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Hmong and Jewish cultures. Other highlights of the event included boba tea from Treats in St. Paul, two henna artists, a student dance performance, and an interactive class led by One Reason Latin Dance Studio. Spring Auction
Thank you so much for your overwhelming support of this year’s premier Silent Auction—Division Exclusives. Because of your generosity, we are thrilled to share that the division exclusives raised over $10,000 for the school.
The success of the event overall truly reflects our community. Whether you donated items, bid, shared the auction with friends and family, volunteered your time, or cheered us on behind the scenes, every contribution mattered, and we are deeply grateful. Events like this remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive, engaged parent community.
As we look ahead, we would love your feedback. If there’s anything that worked well, could be improved, or ideas you’d like us to consider, please let us know. Your insights help us make each year even better.
Thank you again for everything you did to make this year’s auction such a success and for your continued support of MPA and our students. Check out pictures from the event.
Lower School Family Forum
April’s Lower School family forum was the final forum for the school year. It was great to see some parents attending for the first time. The more community members that participate, the better! We enjoyed a lively discussion about plans for the guidance team, the role of the assistant learning specialist, and an ongoing assessment of how CKLA and other literacy programs may best serve the Lower School students.
