Superintendent's Message
Dear Mt. Pleasant Community, 
 
I want to express how much I value your commitment to providing our students with a high-quality education. As a team, we have worked very hard to overcome challenges and assist our students as they achieve their goals. The continuous support of students, families and staff has been crucial every step of the way. 
 
We are pleased to celebrate our graduating 8th graders in-person and join families and friends in the celebration of their accomplishments. We thank teachers and staff for their guidance of our students every day. We wish the best to the retirees that have left a mark of distinction in our district. Thank you for making Mt. Pleasant a wonderful place for our students to grow. 
 
As we prepare for summer break, it is important to know that MPESD will operate a Summer Meal Program in two locations, open to anyone in the community between the ages of 1 and 18 years old. 
 
I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable summer. Thank you again for being part of the Mt. Pleasant Elementary School District Community.

Congratulations to Our 8th Grade Students!     
It is an exciting time for our 8th graders in August Boeger and Ida Jew Academy. They will soon begin a new journey in life and education. At Mt. Pleasant, we feel honored to have had the opportunity to teach you and prepare you for high school.

We worked together during the most challenging situations, doing our best during a pandemic and adapting to circumstances with flexibility and creativity. Your enthusiasm inspired teachers and staff!

We are proud of you and what you have achieved. You will always be a member of our Mt. Pleasant family. Never give up on your dreams. Be curious and be kind. Be the leaders of tomorrow. Congratulations 8th Graders! 
Summer Meal Program Will Have
Two Locations at MPESD 
Maintaining a healthy and nutritious diet is key. Our district will be operating a Summer Meal Program at August Boeger Middle School and Robert Sanders Elementary.

This program is open to anyone in the community between the ages of 1 and 18 years old. To receive meals, children can simply show up and receive a free meal. There is no paperwork or anything else that needs to be done to participate. Please note that this year we are back to normal operations and all food must be consumed on-site. You can find more details below. 

August Boeger Middle School: 1944 Flint Ave, San José 
Breakfast: 7:30 am - 8:30 am - Lunch: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm 
 
Robert Sanders Elementary: 3411 Rocky Mountain Drive, San José 
Breakfast: 7:30 am - 8:30 am - Lunch: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
