“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, everything will be OK!” - Dory
When asking “How have you been?” to our members at our past three events, the overwhelming resounding response has been “I’m busy... so busy”; quickly followed with “Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled we are working, but I wish I could get a little break”. This prompted my Dory quote this month. Our industry went from no work to nonstop. We are selling AND servicing. We are short staffed yet getting the job done. We are grateful yet tired. We are blessed yet stressed. I want you all to know that you are not alone. I mostly want you all to remember to take a moment to breathe and focus on yourself. There is an Irish proverb that goes: No time for your health today, no health for your time tomorrow.
I want to thank the Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Downtown for hosting our Leadership Academy. We had an amazing turnout. It’s exciting to see so many people interested in becoming more involved and leading our chapter to the next level. I also want to give a shout out to the MINT HOUSE, who is sponsoring our December board meeting. If you haven’t seen their space, make sure to reach out to Amanda Lind to check it out!
With the industry rebounding with a vengeance, we are all so bombarded with holiday parties and events the first two weeks in December that we decided to do our celebrations a bit earlier. I hope to see you all at The Bedford on November 18th for our Holly Jolly Holiday Party! This year we are supporting an organization that is near and dear to one of our member’s heart, the Green Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center. We are asking for donations of toiletries, slippers, socks, blankets, books and more to spread the holiday cheer to 100 residents.
Sending virtual hugs to all our members across our great state of Tennessee. Remember to take care of yourself.

MPI Tennessee Education Event:
3 Game-Changing Gamification Tactics to Boost Virtual Audience Engagement
Tuesday, December 7, 2021
Virtual Event
11:00AM - 12:30PM CST
After more than 18 months of virtual events, the race to sustain audience engagement is still on. The good news is, gamification can help! Join Blair Bloomston, CEO of Game On Nation, for an interactive virtual workshop featuring three “rules of the game” that you can easily apply to any online event framework to boost audience engagement and buy-in.
These three simple rules leverage the motivating forces of game mechanics and game dynamics; the same principles that make League of Legends and Starbucks’ Rewards sticky; to help you move & inspire your online audience in new ways.
Adding gamification can be an extremely effective way to invite fun and interactivity to your virtual event, and it’s easier to apply than you think!
This 90 minute session will share practical tactics and techniques, with key mindset and communication factors to help you quickly increase audience buy-in and craft an experience they’ll remember.
