Genetic Profiling - The Future of MPN Diagnoses? Dear member of the MPN Community When you were first diagnosed with an MPN, did your diagnostic process include genetic testing? If your disease has transformed, was there genetic testing at that point? If not, you should consider asking your doctor for more information about the process as there have been major advances made in prognostics for MPNs based on genetic profiling. Even though research focused on therapies for specific genetic mutations is ongoing, it is still important to monitor the characteristics of your disease over time. This is one of the many reasons why we started myMPN and where YOU come in! By participating in our online registry, myMPN , patients can report how their PV, ET and MF changes over time. In doing so, patients contribute their unique genetic markers, associated quality of life and symptom trends with the research community.
