NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:
MPS has a new Proper Attire Policy. According to the new code, “Appropriate and professional business attire includes properly fitted clothing that is in neat and clean condition.” Appropriate workplace dress does not include revealing clothing or clothing with rips, tears, or frays, according to the new policy. The Tuesday, December 3rd Transmittals include updates on the Impaired Driver Indigency Waiver Assessments and restraining orders.
IMPAIRED DRIVER INDIGENCY WAIVER ASSESSMENTS:
There are four documents that have been created to support Impaired Driver Indigency Waiver Assessments. You may find this information and attached forms and requirements. "This information provides clear instruction and guidelines and replaces any prior forms or instructions moving forward in understanding and completing the PDF fillable form for impaired drivers," said Probation Commissioner Pamerson Ifill. RESTRAINING ORDERS:
The M.G.L. Ch. 209A concerning restraining orders has been amended. It became effective Wednesday, September 18, 2024, according to Deputy Commissioner-Legal Services Tonie Ryan. In short, the amendments include a new category with statutory language defining “Coercive Control” and an amended definition of “Abuse,” said Deputy Commissioner Ryan.
