Kindness

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Our last Mass of the school year is Friday, May 24 at 8:15 - following Mass will be our third trimester awards ceremony. The third trimester awards ceremony is different than the other two as we will not be awarding the honors or principal's list awards as the grades will not be ready on the 24th.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our survey about after school care. Most of the responses thought that having the Y come in was a great idea, especially if they were going to be able to provide care on early release days, snow days and days we are off school. The problem was the per child cost, for families with more than one child at Mary Queen, charging by child is cost prohibitive. So, we are not going to bring the Y in for our daily after care program but are in discussions with them still about the possibility of providing care on our site for early dismissal days and days off school. As things move forward, I will keep you updated.
Friday, May 24 is the last day of school. We will dismiss at 11:00, there will not be lunch served or after school care
Dates to Remember

Mary Queen is participating in the Crayola ColorCycle program, an amazing program devised to repurpose used markers rather than sending them to landfills!

The ColorCycle program has repurposed more than 70 tons of expended markers in the United States and Canada since 2013, and uses the most advanced plastic conversion technologies available today to make wax compounds for asphalt and roofing shingles as well as to generate electricity that can be used to heat homes, cook food, and power vehicles.

There is a box set up in the rotunda of school to collect used markers that are ready to be discarded. Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house- even non-Crayola brands! Highlighters and dry erase markers can also be included.
