WHAT'S AHEAD

Serenade at Park Central Groundbreaking

📅 Date: Thursday, January 8

Time: 10:00 a.m.

📍 Location: 300 San Mateo Blvd NE


MRA will break ground on a project converting a long-vacant 10-story tower into 110 new homes, including 41 affordable units, bringing new investment and stability to this key transit corridor.

The Albuquerque Development Commission (ADC)

📅 Next Meeting: Thursday, January 15

Time: 2:00 p.m.

📍 Location: Plaza del Sol, Basement Hearing Room (in person)


The Albuquerque Development Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month. Agendas are posted at least 72 hours in advance, and meetings may be held virtually or in a hybrid format when necessary. Any virtual access information will be listed on the posted agenda.

ULI New Mexico: A Toast to Downtown: Celebrating the Rail Trail and Beyond

Downtown Albuquerque is entering a new chapter. Learn how the City’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency is shaping Downtown’s future through a new plan, a smarter parking strategy, infrastructure investments that connect surrounding neighborhoods, and how you can be part of what’s next.

Fresh Coat: Property Improvement Grant

🚀 Opens: February 3, 2026

Closes: April 3, 2026


A competitive grant for exterior paint or large-scale murals, with awards ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 based on building facade size. Property must be location in an eligible Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MR Area) AND along Central Avenue.


Eligible MR Areas: Barelas, Downtown, Central/Highland/Upper Nob Hill, East Downtown, East Gateway, Historic Central, Near Heights, Sycamore, Soldiers & Sailors Park, University.
