The Worcester Wreath Co. of Columbia Falls, Maine, referring to its supplying of the Christmas wreaths placed on every veterans’ graves in thousands of cemeteries across the country each year, including 145 of the 155 national cemeteries, by the organization Wreaths Across America, proudly boasts on its website's "About Us” page, (emphasis added):

“It is from these same sacred forests that the wreaths used by Wreaths Across America in the annual wreath-laying ceremonies are handcrafted. We’re honored and proud that our commitment to integrity and quality led to them to choose us as their provider of quality wreaths.”

“It is from these same sacred forests that the wreaths used by Wreaths Across America in the annual wreath-laying ceremonies are handcrafted. We’re honored and proud that our commitment to integrity and quality led to them to choose us as their provider of quality wreaths.”

To put it plainly, this statement is total bullshit.

Wreaths Across America didn’t choose the Worcester Wreath Co., and certainly not because of its integrity. Wreaths Across America was created by Morrill Worcester, the owner of the Worcester Wreath Co., and Morrill Worcester’s wife, Karen Worcester, is the executive director of Wreaths Across America!

Wreaths on veterans’ gravesites sparks protest

Colorado Springs Gazette front-page story covers MRFF’s battle to keep Wreaths Across America from placing unwanted Christmas wreaths on Jewish and other non-Christian veterans’ graves of those whose families don’t want them.

Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation said “We have no problem if people reach out and want a wreath on their deceased veterans’ graves, but to put them everywhere, to blanket them without permission of the surviving families is unconstitutional, an atrocity and a disgrace.”

"wreaths across america"

Hi,

There is an article on Daily KOS that is very negative about wreaths across America.

Firs, I want to say I am not christian and left that belief system behind me years ago. From the comments at the end of the article, I feel that people are taking this way too far and that those who don’t want christianity shoved down their throats are showing the same amount of hatred and bigotry as they are saying christians are showing them.

"Christmas Wreaths on your grave"

Greetings in the Holy Name of Jesus The Christ Mr. Weinstein!

Just wanted you to know that our Church has made formal arrangements to have a beautiful Christmas Wreath placed annually on your Jewish gravesite in perpetuity during the Christmas season.

Beginning whenever the Son of God finally calls you home to face His consequences. For your blasphemous work at the MFFR to advance the evils of satan against The Church and Christians.

Merry Christmas Mr. Weinstein!

"Hey"

You’re a fucking idiot. Seems like wreaths are another good reason to divide people. I guess nothing nice can ever be done to make people feel good. As a combat veteran, if I fell in a foreign land it would have been nice for a complete stranger to spend the time and money to remember me at this time of year. But no, your lame ass has a problem with it. You’re a disgrace. Fuck You! I’ll make sure to continue to support wreath laying on our hero’s graves. I guess we still have the first amendment, huh?
