for Swiftly Correcting the Mistake!

East Orange New Jersey VA Medical Center

wanted a Menorah display fully lit before Hannukah began.

MRFF Founder and President Mikey Weinstein swiftly contacted the VA medical center on behalf of Jewish Veteran clients who wanted the display to be correctly lit each night in accordance with the express timing mandates of the Jewish Hanukkah celebration.

MRFF received confirmation within the hour from the VA medical center’s Senior Staff On Duty that one candle will be correctly lit each night starting tomorrow evening,

the first night of Hanukkah.

When entering its lobby December 24, I saw the tree-adjacent Chanikiya fully lit versus one bulb in anticipation of Chanuka’s December 25 evening first night.

Lobby personnel wouldn’t allow me to correct it nor did they know with whom I could speak to have it done.

It was with great surprise and heart-warming satisfaction that I received your below rapid-fire resolution to what turned out to be a ritual misunderstanding. My morning’s journey to East Orange was arduous from the falling snow’s negative effect on inexpert drivers. This was magnified by the final ice-encrusted mile to our hospital. Having endured that stress, it was magnified by the Chabad-height Chanikiya (menorah) fully-lit as if it was a decoration. It being Xmas Eve morning, the lobby was lightly manned by two volunteers who neither understood the disrespect or could direct me to someone with whom I could discuss and correct this religious offense while I was in situ.

Having received the voluminous documentation of your resolving far more serious proselytizing attempts, I knew that you would be able to resolve this issue for my Jewish brothers who either need to use the hospital during Chanuka’s eight days or worse, be confined there. We were commanded to be alight to other nations and even more so when our Chanikiyot (menorahs) burn bright, reminding us of our triumph over those that wanted to convert or destroy us.

Counselor Weinstein,

I hope 2025 is a good year for you and your family. I will pray that the Lord through His Holy Spirit convicts you and saves you from the punishment you face if you continue to attack God to His face.

You may profess to not believe Him as many do but you know the terror of the certainty of mortality in this world. Better to surrender than to be cast into Hell for eternity. It is a loving thing to warn someone before they go over a cliff that’s exactly what real Christians should be doing for people like you. Just like you, we are wretched sinners deserving of the same fate.

I also find your view of the country fundamentally flawed since the dis establishment clause as you know, it was popularized in the 1940s by rogue justices. The founders clearly intended this nation to be based upon the principles of Christendom can you explain Moses on the rotunda of the Supreme Court? The original moral law is written in your heart and you know you’re guilty as am I. Saul of Tarsis was learned in all aspects of Jewish law and customs even he was spared and chosen by God.

Those professing to be Christians if they truly were, should not be smearing feces on your mailbox or hateful letters or threats. Likewise, those supporting your cause are apart from Christ, and are not counted amongst us.

In conclusion, I do pray for your salvation or that at least members of your family should come to no Christ and be saved. Review what happened to the sons of Kora.

May God continue to have mercy upon you and bring you to salvation.
