The Missouri Right to Life State Political Action Committee (MRL State PAC) today issues its exclusive and singular endorsement of State Senator Dr. Bob Onder for Missouri Lieutenant Governor in the August 6, 2024 Republican Primary Election
Statement from Dave Plemmons, MRL PAC Chairman:
The important role of Missouri’s Lieutenant Governor includes the Constitutional responsibilities to preside as President over the Senate, voting in the event of a tie vote, to preside as Governor when the Governor is absent from the state or disabled, and upon the death, conviction, impeachment or resignation of the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor shall become governor for the remainder of the term. By statute, the Lieutenant Governor’s duties include serving as Missouri’s official senior advocate, coordinating activities with the long-term care ombudsman program on complaints made by or on behalf of senior citizens residing in long-term care facilities and disseminating information to inform senior citizens of their rights and of services available to them.
Therefore, it is vital that Missouri’s Lieutenant Governor be a proven and committed Pro-Life leader who will advocate for the protection of Missouri citizens from inception to natural death.
As State Representative and State Senator, Dr. Bob Onder has been a stalwart champion of Pro-Life legislation and strategy. He knows the issues intimately and understands the threats to Missourians’ Right to Life posed by pro-abortion allies and colleagues that exhibit indifference even when confronted by the truth. Missouri cannot afford to have executive mediocrity when life is at stake.
As a public servant, physician, husband, father, and man of faith, Dr. Onder appreciates the value of family and community. For him, service is a way of life. He has dedicated his life to a life of service to protect and better the lives of Missourians–-born and unborn.
Dr. Bob Onder is the Lieutenant Governor that Missouri needs to passionately and pro-actively lead for life to protect Missourians at every age and stage of development.
