Letter from the President by Charli Thyne

Trump’s Second “First 100 Days”

We just passed the 100-day marker last Tuesday, and I’m sure you’ve seen the many newscasts, articles and blogs reviewing how President Trump is doing. Our unbiased opinion is: This is what we voted for!

His second administration’s First 100 Days has been a firehose of bold, decisive actions to keep the promises he made on the campaign trail. These include closing the borders, deporting illegal immigrant criminals, reducing the size and waste/fraud/abuse in federal government through DOGE, uncovering corruption in the Deep State, getting rid of DEI wherever it has sunk its ugly claws, and so much more.

Of course, all of this has sparked outrage on the Left, which is resorting to lawfare, protests, and even vandalism and criminal acts to slow him down and thwart his plans. No surprise there. But despite facing over 170 lawsuits, President Trump is not intimidated – he charges forward with common sense strategies to make America great again.

Naturally, the legacy media is now in full, coordinated outcry about the supposed drop in Trump’s approval ratings. The polls that indicate this are flawed and cannot be trusted. When they say that he is losing his MAGA support, just let me ask you:

Do you regret voting for Trump? Do you wish Biden had stayed in the race, or Kamala Harris had won?

I know your answer is NO!! And I'll bet no one you know who voted for Trump regrets their vote, either. In fact, most say, “We voted for this and it’s awesome!”

But he still faces uphill battles, which must be won. The women and men of MRW are solidly behind our President and will do everything we can to ensure he keeps and expands majorities in the House and Senate in the 2026 election so his strategy can push forward.

May God continue to bless America!

Charli

Legislative Day May 6

As a current member of MRW, you are also a member of NCFRW, so YOU'RE INVITED!

Here's all the information - and remember to wear Republican Red!

Update on NC Judge controversy

Did you know that the election on November 24, 2024 for judge on the NC Supreme Court is STILL not resolved? Judge Jefferson Griffin (conservative) has contested the supposed win by incumbent Judge Allison Riggs (liberal).

The latest: The decision on which ballots are eligible to be counted is now in federal court awaiting a ruling from a Trump-appointed judge. Read about the whole controversy here.

Highlights of April luncheon

Moore Republican Women were delighted to return to Pinehurst Country Club for our luncheons. We welcomed two great guest speakers:

Pastor Ron Baity, founder of Return America, talked about his work in organizing churches to push back on the government's attempt to shut them down during the pandemic. This organization is a network of churches and individuals who seek to educate, motivate and mobilize citizens in a united effort to promote Judeo-Christian values; and to educate and influence government in these principles upon which our state and nation were founded.

Jason Simmons, Executive Director of the North Carolina Republican Party, provided an update on the growth of the Republican registrations in North Carolina as people flee the Democrat party. He asked us to do what we can to Get Out the Vote in 2026, protect the vote, and donate to the candidates. Talk to friends, family members and neighbors. He said clubs like MRW are the backbone that enables Republicans to unite for a common cause.

These are some of the personal care items that our members donated to Military Missions in Action to help fill backpacks of homeless vets.
