Who won in Moore County?

Speaking of election results, here are the results from the November 4 municipal elections, in case you missed the final tallies. Note: While we had some bright spots, we Republicans have some work to do in 2026!

Membership renewal drive continues

We're in the middle of our 2026 Membership Renewal Drive. If you haven't already done so, we urge you to pay your dues as soon as possible.

Find out more about our renewing and about special incentive prizes for doing so before December 31. Note: After December 31, a late fee of $10 will be added to your $40 membership dues. So don't wait - renew your membership TODAY!

Winner #1 of a free luncheon in 2026 for renewing her membership is: Lora Burns.

We are so proud of Kay Wildt

On November 15, our own beloved member Kay Wildt stepped down as one of the most successful presidents of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women. She received a standing ovation from the representatives from NC counties who attended the fall meeting in Greensboro, NC. Much respected by all, she will continue to be on the Board of NCFRW - but luckily for us here at Moore Republican Women, she will be able to provide her wisdom and knowledge even more frequently in Moore County politics!

Congratulations, Kay, on your amazing tenure as NCFRW President. In your four years of leading the organization, you were instrumental in electing President Trump and many other Republican representatives across our state!

We're still looking...

... for someone to head our Luncheon Committee

Lisa Sheridan, who has so ably been in charge of our MRW luncheons for almost 10 years, has decided it's time to step down. We need someone from MRW to head up this very important committee. Will it be YOU?

It doesn't have to be one person doing everything. We have found some great volunteers willing to do the jobs of registrations/cancellations and name badges, but we still need someone to head the committee and interact with Pinehurst Country Club (menus, set-up, etc.)

Lisa will, of course, be happy to mentor you and "show you the ropes."

If you are interested in being a crucial part of MRW and our functions, please respond back to this email or contact Pilar Page.

We need you - and it's a great way to get to know other members!

Your Club: Always something going on!

A message from Changing Destinies

At our October luncheon, we collected funds for Changing Destinies Ministries, a local organization that helps women who have been trafficked. Lou Ellen Runyan, our Caring for America Chair, sent our donations amounting to $350 to this non-profit. We received the following note from them:

"We are extremely grateful and appreciative to the Republican Women's Group for your donations. Every bit helps us to provide healing and hope to our resident survivors, and it allows us to provide awareness to the community to prevent more victims of human trafficking. Thank you and may you be blessed. The CDM Team."

RIP: Harriet Bradley

We are shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Harriet Bradley in a traffic accident earlier this month. Harriet was an active member of MRW, much loved by her friends and family, and will be sorely missed.

We send our prayers and condolences to all who knew her. Our understanding is that her memorial service will be held in the spring as her family deals with this tragic loss.

Highlights from our November speaker

In addition to electing our officers for 2026-28 (see above) at our November meeting, we welcomed a very informative guest speaker:

Stephanie Kreuz, Director of Sentinel Strategy at Heritage Action, talked about President Trump's achievements, as well as what's happening in Congress today.

Her organization is keeping a close eye and exerting its influence on several legislative actions that are in the works, including the National Defense Authorization Act (protecting financial privacy and security); the Obamacare subsidies (Heritage recommends scrapping the whole program); and numerous opportunities to investigate wrong-doing, including Arctic Frost, Antifa funding sources and more.

She also described some steps we need to take to create a permanent grassroots army that's ready to be mobilized during elections. And she answered a number of great questions from the audience.

For more information and/or to sign up to receive Heritage Action's newsletter, go here.

Important note: Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 16 at 10:30 a.m. - it's our annual holiday BRUNCH1 Make sure you mark your calendar!
