Meeting Recap
  • Each year BVR makes a You Got In video featuring current BVR students congratulating newly admitted students. This year students are encouraged to participate by either learning a dance routine and filming themselves dancing, or simply filming themselves waving hello. All the info can be found here and links to the choreography were emailed to students.

  • Ms. Winston announced the 8th grade art show. Students can view it in the gallery on campus and virtually here.
  • The virtual AISNE Students of Color Conference is happening tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Three Middle School students are attending: Wesley Todd '26, Nathan Rosario '26, and Jasmine Idehen '26.

  • Ms. Wildes summarized highlights from last week's MS Social Justice Retreat. She thanked our speakers and workshop leaders, and included top takeaways, like "continue to speak up, even when I am scared and my voice shakes."

Feed Your Brain: Book Buffet
Today's presenter was Timmy Brown '25.
Timmy Brown recommends The Stand by Stephen King.

What I liked about this book ...
I like that the book is on the longer side and many times it made me think, "What would I do in this situation?"

Why I think you would like it ...
If you like longer books that are a little dark then you might like this book.
At the end of our meeting, Ms. Smith drew her self portrait for the yearbook live! You can watch her in action in the video below.
