Middle School Meeting
Dear Middle School Families,

Here is this week's MS Meeting Recap. You can check out the slides here.

Today's meeting was run by Alex Borden '27.
The BVR Student
Spencer Marcus '25 talked about an element of the BVR StudentTakes care of spaces and materials in our school—and leaves them better than they found them. Spencer said:

“I chose this element because it's very important to make sure everyone remembers to clean up when they use something in the R+D Center and also when in a class using a whiteboard or a pencil. It’s our job to keep the school clean and be responsible about our stuff.”
Meeting Recap
Ms. Wildes announced that she will be having virtual office hours this week at noon for students who want to meet with her to discuss the Hiatt Summer Fellowship. She will send links via email.
  • 8th grade on Wednesday
  • 6th grade on Thursday
  • 7th grade on Tuesday
In early March, BVR admitted students for the 21-22 school year and to celebrate, sent them the You Got In video which we showed at MS Meeting today. Ms. Etienne, Assistant Director of Admission and Financial Aid, thanked all the students involved in the video. Our virtual revisit day program is next week, and Ms. Etienne is looking for more students to make videos about their experience at BVR and asked students to email her if they are interested in participating.
Ms. Smith reminded everyone that starting next week, we will have students on campus on Fridays. The schedule rotation can be found here.
Every 6th and 8th grader on campus today had a COVID test. All 7th graders will be tested on Thursday.
Music classes for chorus, woodwinds, and brass are now outside under the tents.
We reminded students about phones. Now that we can eat outside, we want students to enjoy their classmates in person. Phones should be left at home or in backpacks out of sight.
This Friday is Good Friday so we do not have school. Happy Passover and Happy Easter!
Book Buffet: Feed Your Brain
Hunter Chacko '25 recommends Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War by Mark Bowden.

"I liked this book because it's a story of a real mission that went horribly wrong.

I think others would like it because it is a very suspenseful book."
