Hello Colt Families,

Students did an amazing job last week during the first week of testing. Thank you to students, staff, and families for your continued cooperation. The PSSA testing continues this week and students will move onto the math portion.

Hybrid (in-person) Students:
Math- April 27 & 28 (grades 6-8)
Science- May 3 & 4 (grade 8 only)
**Please note, our school will work on a revised bell schedule on testing dates.

CV Cyber Students:
April 30- ELA (grades 6-8) Drop-off at 7:30, dismissal at approximately 9:30
May 7 -Math (grades 6-8) Drop-off at 7:30, dismissal at approximately 10:30
May 14- Science (grade 8 only) Drop-off at 7:30, dismissal at approximately 10:00
**All students must bring their Chromebook & charger for testing sessions.

Lifetouch will be back on-site this Wednesday, April 28 for in-person students and again on Friday, April 30th for virtual students. Pictures can be ordered online by going to mylifetouch.com and using the Picture Day ID EVTK228M4.

The Middle School will welcome current 5th graders from the IS for "Move-Up" day on Friday, May 14 from 9:00-10:30. 5th graders will have the opportunity to come to tour the Middle School and get a feel for what next year will look like. More details to come soon!

The 8th Grade Recognition ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 20 at 7:00 pm and will be held outside at the stadium (rain date is May 27). Again, more details on this event will be coming soon.

We'd like to thank the P3R organization for their generous donation of $1,000 to the middle school physical education program that is aimed to help get students moving and exercising. We plan on using the funds to supplement any equipment needs as well as purchase items needed for the end of the year 'challenge day' that students love and look forward to attending. Learn more about P3R by clicking here: https://p3r.org/

Following the extension of the Federal Free Breakfast and Lunch Program, all students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch daily. Remote students should complete the Google form to order meals for pick-up.

Free Meals
Chartiers Valley School District is now offering FREE breakfast and FREE lunch to every student, every school day. This includes to-go meals for students learning virtually.  

To-go meals for virtual days (both CV Cyber and Hybrid) must be ordered using this Google Form: To-Go Meals Order Form. Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance and picked up at the following times: 
  • CV Cyber Students can pick up to-go meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am -12:00 noon at the High School. 
  • Hybrid students with last names beginning in A-K can pick up meals for their remote days at the end of the day each Tuesday before leaving school. 
  • Hybrid students with last names beginning in L-Z can pick up their to-go meals each Thursday before going home. 

At this time, the free meals for all students will only run until December 31, 2020, at which time meal pay statuses will return to Paid, Free, or Reduced rates based on qualifications.  Be sure to submit your free/reduced meal applications as soon as possible to avoid any gap in benefits. Applications can be found on the District website

If your child is absent from school (online or in person), please email the MS Attendance Secretary, msattendance@cvsd.net.  If your child is a hybrid student and is too sick for school, but able to attend online, please email msattendance@cvsd.net to inform the school that your child will be working from home that day.
