Hello Colt Families,
That's a wrap! We did it, CVMS! Thanks to the very best dedicated, resilient, and motivated staff, students, and families, we tackled a really difficult year with flying colors.
We sincerely thank you all for working together to ensure the best possible experience during unprecedented times.
Our 8th Grade Recognition ceremony was a beautiful sight. To see so many of our students and their families coming together to wish them well as they move onto High School was a wonderful way to end the school year. We wish the Class of 2025 all the best in their future endeavors. They'll be missed at CVMS, but we know great things are ahead.
Our student newspaper, "A Dose of Colt Coffee," has published this year's final edition: The Sunshine Edition. Our staff and advisor, Mrs. Bautista, has worked tremendously hard this year and we thank them for always creating the very best publication. Any incoming 7th or 8th graders that is interested in becoming a member of the Newspaper Staff in the fall should email Mrs. Bautista @ email@example.com.
Congratulations to the following 8th graders for being selected to be published in the Spring 2021 Creative Communication Poetic Power anthology:
Teal House: Alyssa Wyandt, Abby Daffner, Landon Markwell, Mikayla Diyanni, Violet Shields, Brianna Gray, Will Haenze, Jake Federouch, Siah Reason, Gianna Baker, Emily Scheller-Gallagher, Jonathan Garside, Tyler Maddix, Gabby Williams, Ashlyn Tornabene, Nicolas Evangelista, Dominic Pagliari, and Karley Robb
Gold House: Kylie Nestor, Annalyn Bell, Gianna Mastropietro, Brady Baranowski, Sid Baman, Sydney Trainor, Sayge Richardson, Chanel Paige, Chad Wright, Madison Huber, and Aislinn Myrah
The 8th grade English and Literature teachers are very proud of the students for their extra efforts!
To wrap up our school year, this week is going to be filled with some fun! Challenge Days will bring some creative and interactive team competitions and will be a really enjoyable time for the students to relax and have some fun with classmates and teachers.
All in-person students will be returning Chromebooks and chargers on Wednesday. If your student is virtual and has another device at home that can be used for the remainder of the week, the Chromebooks and chargers can be returned to the middle school office between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:30 pm Monday- Friday this week.
We wish you all a safe, happy, and healthy summer. See you in August!
