21 September 2020 | Chartiers Valley Middle School
Hello Colt Families,

We hope this Memo finds you well and enjoying some of the crisp fall air that has made its way to us.

This week, Chartiers Valley will be participating in “Start with Hello” Week, which is a program founded by the Sandy Hook Promise Organization. This program is designed to bring individuals and school communities together to foster looking-out and caring for one another. At CVMS, we have the power to see someone in need, reach out, and Start with Hello in order to reduce social isolation and create a more connected and inclusive school. Each and every one of us has the ability to make a difference and make a new friend! Please encourage your students to wear GREEN this week to help promote awareness of this worthy cause.

Lifetouch will be on-site this Friday, September 25 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm to photograph CV CYBER STUDENTS ONLY.  CV Cyber students may come at any time during that window and are encouraged to have orders placed online in advance. Parents/Guardians, please remain in the car while your student comes into the building and has his/her photo taken.

Hybrid students will have their photos taken on the following days:
Tuesday, October 6 - Hybrid students with last names beginning in A-K
Thursday, October 8 - Hybrid students with last names beginning in L-Z

Orders can be placed by visiting mylifetouch.com and using Picture ID EVT7XDR8B.

Chartiers Valley School District is now offering FREE breakfast and FREE lunch to every student, every school day. This includes to-go meals for students learning virtually.  To-go meals for virtual days (both CV Cyber and Hybrid) must be ordered using this Google Form. Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance and picked up at the following times:

  • CV Cyber Students can pick up to-go meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am -12:00 noon at the High School.
  • Hybrid students with last names beginning in A-K can pick up meals for their remote days at the end of the day each Tuesday before leaving school.
  • Hybrid students with last names beginning in L-Z can pick up their to-go meals each Thursday before going home.

At this time, the free meals for all students will only run until December 31, 2020, at which time meal pay statuses will return to Paid, Free, or Reduced rates based on qualifications. Be sure to submit your free/reduced meal applications as soon as possible to avoid any gap in benefits. Applications can be found on the District website
