14 December 2020 | Chartiers Valley Middle School
Hello Colt Families,

The CVMS Service Project for the "Cozy Purple Unicorn Project" in memory of Emma Schaub was a huge success. We gathered so many hats, mittens, scarfs and gloves to be distributed through the Unity Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. We are truly grateful to have such a generous school community. Thank you for supporting this incredible cause!

Our Kindness Challenge took place over the Thanksgiving break and we want to share some of the heartfelt, selfless, compassionate acts that our students submitted. Here are just of few of the acts of kindness that CVMS students shared:

  • I did my sister's chores for her because she had a long day at school, my parents and her were very happy.

  • I made and packed my brother's lunch for school tomorrow.

  • I helped my brother with his work because he needed help and my mom or dad couldn't help him at that time and he was worried.

  • I included a new student to my friend group and made sure she felt welcome and felt like she had someone to talk to

  • I helped safely deliver Thanksgiving meals to my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and neighbors. They were very happy to see me.

Lifetouch picture retakes will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 15. Photos can be ordered by going to mylifetouch.com and using code EVTD3K482.

We are winding down our days until the holiday break. As a reminder, winter recess begins on Thursday, Dec. 24 with school resuming on Tuesday, Jan. 5. We hope you and your families continue to remain safe and well. As always, thank you for being so flexible and compassionate during this one of a kind school year!

Make it a great day,

Dr. Michele Welter, Principal
Mr. Dan Knause, Assistant Principal
