MSA MEETS APPROVED TRAINING PROVINCIAL STANDARDS

Earlier this year, MSA became the first provincial training provider approved to deliver OHC Level 1 and OHC Level 2 training. We are proud to announce that our Safety Fundamentals for Managers and Supervisors course has just been approved and recognized through the WorkSafe Saskatchewan Approved Trainer Program. MSA members can take comfort knowing that our training programs meet provincial standards!

Our main driver on becoming an approved training provider was to ensure that our members invest their time participating in training sessions with updated materials conducted by approved trainers, ensuring they have earned a recognized certificate that meets provincially approved safety standards.

Maintaining this level of excellence is essential to meeting our members expectations for high-quality training.

Workplace Near Misses

A near miss is an event where no damage or harm occurs, but a slight change in timing or conditions could have resulted in a serious injury.

Have you ever experienced a near miss at work?

What steps would you take afterward?

Do you simply think, 'That was a close call,' and move on as if nothing happened?

Or, do you take action to address the issue and prevent it from happening again?

It is crucial that near misses are reported and addressed promptly to prevent potential loss or injury. If you have a near miss story you'd like to share confidentially with MSA to help prevent industry-related loss or injury, please, contact us!
