DPH Announces Plan for Increased Access to COVID-19 Vaccinations
COVID-19 Vaccinations for Non-Hospital Affiliated Medical Providers and Staff
The Division of Public Health (DPH), in conjunction with advocacy efforts by your Medical Society, is providing an update on plans to increase access to vaccination for non-hospital affiliated medical providers and staff. Providers should consider the following options:

  1. Enroll in DelVAX so you can vaccinate your own staff even if you don’t plan to vaccinate patients. Enrollment information can be found:
  2. DPH has identified multiple sites that are willing to serve as Vaccination Hubs for Phase 1a providers/staff. They include the site categories listed below. DPH asks that staff and providers NOT reach out to these sites directly. Please complete the Vaccination Request Form and submit this information to DPH at and DPH will facilitate making connections with Hubs.

Potential Vaccination Hub locations:
  • Outpatient practices (e.g., urgent care, primary care)
  • Pharmacies
  • Hospitals
  • Hospital run PODs
  • DPH run PODs

By next week DPH will place the form on along with a separate form for providers who wish to become Vaccination Hubs to complete. DPH is also planning several closed Points of Dispensing (PODS) to vaccinate Phase 1a partners during the month of January. More details will be shared with members as they become available.
It's Not Too Late to Register to Become a COVID-19 Vaccinator!
DPH Encourages Every Practice to Register
The Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) is strongly recommending medical practices go through the process of registering to be a COVID-19 vaccinator, regardless of whether the intention is to vaccinate patients. Being enrolled will allow small practices to have the option to vaccinate their own staff once the vaccine becomes available. The process to enroll can take time, so it is important not to delay. DPH has updated their vaccine enrollment instructions for interested practices. Read Vaccine Enrollment Instructions. For answers to questions please email

Due to MSD's persistence, several improvements have been made to the process and we await word regarding a possible fee reduction. More information will be coming soon.
