Specialty Microphones to Bring Music Outdoors
COVID-19 brought challenges to the music department and to our music-loving MHS community overall. Abby Tucker, MHS C'21 was awarded a Student Grant for two stereo microphones for use during outdoor performances, as well as during band, orchestra, and choral classes. These microphones will continue to be used after the pandemic to extend rehearsals and performances beyond the confines of the classroom.

"These microphones have transformed our performances and were used for the spring concert and also at graduation. The clarity, flexibility, and ease of use with these microphones has made each performance come to life, especially with the restrictions of having to distance and perform outdoors."
- Dina Madden, District Music Coordinator

MHS Literacy Ambassadors Give the Gift of Reading
With financial support from MSF, the MHS Literacy Ambassadors have gifted hundreds of books to children in our community during several food pantry distributions run by the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force. They will continue to distribute books throughout the next school year!

The Portrait Project
After being postponed by the pandemic last spring, MHS Junior Anna Robarts was finally able to hold portrait days for District families. With the support of an MSF Student Grant, the cooperation of district social workers, and members of the MHS Photography & Design Club - 20 families will receive a framed family portrait and digital files of all the photos taken during the session.
