MSNJ mourns the loss of Robert S. Rigolosi, MD, the 210th President of MSNJ (2002-2003)
Dr. Rigolosi’s inaugural speech emphasized unity. During his presidency, MSNJ and over 8,000 physicians marched on Trenton in the pouring down rain objecting soaring cost of medical malpractice. The MSNJ Claims Assistance Program launched under his presidency, and physicians are still using it today. He worked tirelessly as the Treasurer making cost savings at the Society (2004-2010). Dr. Rigolosi served on the AMA Delegation from 1997 until 2015 (Chair 2009-2015) and a well-respected leader.
As a young man, he started his is life as a boxer, he used those fighting skills throughout his life. We were lucky that he fought for MSNJ. Read his obituary .
