CARES Act Provider Relief Fund
A reminder, HHS partnered with UnitedHealth Group (UHG) to deliver the stimulus payments. Contact UHG at 866-569-3522 about eligibility, whether a payment has been issued, and where it was sent. Note, if a physician or practice did not already set up direct deposit through CMS or UHG’s Optum Pay, they will receive a check at a later date. If a physician or practice would like to set up direct deposit now they can call the UHG Provider Relations number. Learn more .
Additional Funding Related to Treatment of the Uninsured
A portion of the $100 billion Provider Relief Fund will be used to reimburse healthcare providers, at Medicare rates, for COVID-related treatment of the uninsured. Physicians are eligible for this funding. Every health care provider who has provided treatment for uninsured COVID-19 patients on or after February 4, 2020, can request claims reimbursement through the program and will be reimbursed at Medicare rates, subject to available funding. Steps will involve: enrolling as a provider participant, checking patient eligibility and benefits, submitting patient information, submitting claims, and receiving payment via direct deposit. Providers can register for the program on April 27, 2020, and begin submitting claims in early May 2020 .

In an effort to help physicians during this emergency, Konza is making its HIE available at no cost for new members through October 31, 2020 to track COVID-19 details for their patients. Visit www.konza.org/contact to request an Emergency Participation Agreement.
NJBIA Recovery Survey
MSNJ is a member of NJ Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and they have invited MSNJ’s members to participate in their new Recovery Survey . The goal of this survey is to have businesses/nonprofits share the economic impacts resulting from the COVID-19 response, and to shed light on what it will take to bring them back online when the state reopens. NJBIA will use this data to help inform our policymakers as they contemplate a reopening, as well as to advocate for appropriate policies and actions on behalf of their collective members. Please fill out the survey here . I t is only available for a limited time.
The MSNJ Risk Advisor
Disability for these turbulent times.
Amid these incredibly difficult times MSNJ is always looking for ways to protect you and your practice whenever possible.

Recently, your association has entered into an agreement with nationally recognized Disability insurer, Ameritas. As a result of the Covid-19 crisis certain underwriting rules have been forgone. Highlights are:
  • A 15% discount to all MSNJ members off the company's already very competitive pricing!
  • Between now and May 31, 2020 NO para-exam is required for certain coverages and situations!

Most Physicians have not reviewed their disability coverage for some time, and we are here to help. Whether it be individual disability or business overhead disability, our team of experts can assist you!

We encourage you to take advantage of this program, especially during the Covid-19 disaster.
This coverage is for disability coverage and not for business interruption coverage relating to governmental shutdown.

If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity send an email to MSNJ Risk Advisors Executive Vice President Monty Dise, [email protected] . In doing so you can help you, your practice, and your association!
