Bipartisan Energy and Commerce Committee Leaders Call for National COVID-19 Vaccine Plan
Today, Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), along with other Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee members sent a
letter
to White House Coronavirus Task Force Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx urging the development of national COVID-19 vaccine plan. The bipartisan Committee leaders emphasized the need for a plan focusing on vaccine development, manufacturing, distribution, provider training, public education, and broad access.

CMS Finalizes Telehealth and ESRD Changes for Medicare Advantage and Part D Plans
Today, CMS finalized requirements that will increase access to telehealth for seniors in Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, expand the types of supplemental benefits available for beneficiaries with an MA plan who have chronic diseases, provide support for more MA options for beneficiaries in rural communities, and expand access to MA for patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

Executive Order 145 Guidance - Reopening of Elective and Invasive Procedures
The NJ Department of Health and NJ Division of Consumer Affairs recently issued guidance on
Executive Order 145
, resumption of elective procedures. MSNJ provided consultation to both agencies to ensure our physician members are being represented properly for a safe and proper reopen of our economy.

MSNJ COVID-19 Impact Survey
MSNJ is conducting a survey to determine the impact of COVID-19 on physician practices. Answer survey questions regarding the impact of COVID-19 on staff reductions, the need for PPE, education, and telemedicine issues so it can be brought up with legislators and government administrators and used to help us get medical practices reopened.
