Spring 2019
From the Chair's Chair
Things have been moving forward in Farrall Hall. Spring is here and BAE Showcase is just around the windy corner!

Speaking of BAE Showcase, something we all look forward to each year, it's scheduled for Thursday, April 25, 2019. The College of Engineering Design Day is on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Just like in 2018, we will host the Showcase Day industry luncheon, capstone presentations, BE 230 poster session, and reception in our own Farrall Hall! This year our Showcase Dinner (Thursday night) will be at the University Club and will highlight our students and our two alumni awards.
All day activities for BE Showcase in Farrall Hall are free and open to the public, except for the luncheon, which requires an advance signup and RSVP. The Showcase Dinner also requires advance signup and RSVP.  For complete details, including parking instructions, please see the  full BE Showcase program in the Student Focus section . We look forward to the event and seeing everyone.

In this BAE Newsletter you will see that we highlight our students and our faculty. You will notice student awards, 2019/20 scholarship winners, and a few other student awards. Our faculty have had several awards since the last newsletter, check it out!  We are very proud of what our students and faculty accomplish each year, and it is great that we have the chance to announce these awards to everyone.

So, what have our alumni been up to? We would like to include a “What’s Up with our Alums….Alumni News” section in these quarterly e-newsletters, so drop us a line and let us know what you have been up to lately.

You might remember that we now have a BAE Store. A place so that you can get your own BAE “stuff”. We only have a couple items now to see how it goes; we will expand as we can. All proceeds go to support our students and their activities. And if you have ideas for other things that we can include in our store, let us know. Shop early and often!  BAE Store  --  www.egr.msu.edu/bae/baestore  .

Please stop by Farrall Hall, or invite me to visit you, so that I can learn about you, your BAE past, present and future.

Thank you for all you do out there to increase the Brand of BAE; it is YOUR EFFORTS as our wonderful alumni that increases our  stock price ….so THANK YOU!

Thanks for the opportunity to serve,
Darrell W. Donahue
