LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR -SUSAN GROMIS

Good day, Vero Beach! The past four months have been a blur, from being fully engaged with public events to complete shutdown only days later. No one could have anticipated the worldwide effects of the coronavirus, let alone the national, state, and local economic impact. As we begin the reopening process, we have the chance to reflect on our actions over the past months.
During the initial shutdown, Main Street Vero Beach made the choice to encourage local donors to generously support those nonprofits in Indian River County who were the “boots on the ground” during the crisis, those who were providing essential services or products to people in need: housing, food, maternal and infant supplies, to name a few. Main Street remained connected while providing information about financial programs and available support for our local small businesses.
Now, Main Street Vero Beach needs your help to continue the important mission as a liaison between local residents and businesses with our local government, and as a voice with our state and national organizations. We have always counted on the generous giving by our supporters, and during this time where 100% of our fundraising activities have been forced to cancel, we strive to continue our good community works of revitalization and preservation.
If you are a member of Main Street, we thank you! If you are not a member, we hope you will consider becoming a member. Any donations are greatly appreciated; as a 501©3, your donations are tax deductible. Please join us in expanding our mission and keeping downtown Vero Beach an inviting place to live, work, and play.

Looking for something to do where you can explore and still practice social distancing?

Grab your camera bag and join us as we indulge ourselves in the rustic woods and Antique Rusted Cars in Georgia. We will explore Old Car City during the day and if we have enough interest we will also venture into the night for some spooky light-painting. You can be assured that we will obtain some cool images on this ADVENTURE!

With over 34 acres and over 4000 American-made cars from the early 20th Century, these cars, trucks, vans, and even a couple of school buses are placed in such a way as to be ideally suited for photos, videos, and the custom camera shoots.~ From the Old Car City Site
