July 16, 2020

Dear Club and League Representatives:

On July 14, 2020, MSYSA relayed that individual players and/or team officials who leave the State of Michigan for any reason may not return to training for 14 days upon their return to Michigan.

Many states around the country have travel restrictions. As of July 16, 2020, there are no statewide restrictions in Michigan. MSYSA recognizes that players, their families, and team officials may leave Michigan, from time to time, for work, to visit family or to go on vacation, etc. With new public health guidance, MSYSA is clarifying our R2T guidelines as follows:

A player or team official who has recently traveled to another state will be permitted to participate in training and camps as long as they do not present any COVID-19 symptoms and have not had contact with anyone who is sick 14 days prior. In order to return to training, a player/team official must be symptom free, not sick, and have not been in close contact (6 feet for at least 10 minutes) with anyone else with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 for at least 14 days.

Thank you for your efforts on protecting yourself and others from the COVID-19 virus. Please continue to review our website, email communications, and social media platforms for updates.

Sincerely,

Thomas Faro
Executive Director
