October 5, 2020

Dear Club and League Representatives:

The Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) is aware of Michigan Supreme Court’s ruling on October 2, 2020, regarding Executive Orders issued (after April 30, 2020) by Governor Whitmer. If/when there are any significant changes to MSYSA’s Return-To-Play (RTP) Guidelines, including our current attendance restrictions and/or the use of facial coverings by all athletes, team officials and spectators, we will communicate this information with all of you.

MSYSA is scheduling a (Zoom) conference call for Friday, October 16, 2020 at 4 PM with our affiliated club and league representatives. This specific call is limited to Club and League Representatives only. A separate email communication, with the Zoom credentials, will be sent to all Club and League Representatives in the near future.

In closing, MSYSA’s RTP guidelines outline safety protocols specific to risk mitigation, soccer specific activities and matches/competitions. At this time, the options available to athletes, team officials and spectators are to comply with MSYSA’s RTP guidelines, or not participate.

MSYSA appreciates your patience as we navigate the path forward with the assistance of public health officials.

Sincerely,

Thomas Faro
Executive Director
