September 1, 2020

Dear Club and League Representatives:

MSYSA previously relayed that we would have an update with respect to the Fall 2020 season on or around September 1, 2020. Although not confirmed, a new or amended Executive Order from Governor Whitmer could come as early as Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

As you may know, Governor Whitmer extended the ‘State of Emergency’ through September 4, 2020. Thus, for now, with the exception of National League, which is a US Youth Soccer league, MSYSA has elected to delay a decision on the fall season and out of state team travel until early next week. New or amended Executive Orders from Governor Whitmer will assist MSYSA in its decision making.

Affiliated clubs and leagues are reminded that matches may not commence prior to September 15, 2020, at the earliest.

MSYSA is scheduling a (Zoom) conference call for Friday, September 4, 2020 at 4:00 PM to provide you with our latest update and will be followed by an email update early next week. The call on Friday, September 4, 2020 is limited to Club and League Representatives only. Should you need the call-in information, please email

Thank you for your continued patience. In the interim, please continue to monitor our website and social media platforms for updates.
