Principal's Corner
MTC Spirit warms my heart. Seeing the kids and teachers represent our school last week on Fox 29, and then experiencing our annual pep rally today was truly incredible. The students and teachers and staff know that MTC is the greatest and it shines through in all they do. The smiles, the laughter, the cheers, and of course the TEAMWORK was such a pleasure to witness and be a part of. We are a community of amazing people, and a place where everyone has a chance to shine

English Language Arts
4th and 5th Grade ELA- Miss Scholl's students are "Power Writing". This is part of our new writer's workshop, which the kids think is fun. It is a writing competition, where students are given 3 random words that they must use in a piece of writing. They are given 3 minutes and the student with the most words used in a way that makes sense, is the winner. It is a three round competition with different words and winners in each round. The point is to build writing stamina and teach students to quickly generate ideas, but of course they see it as a competitive game!

Student News
  • Congratulations to our 8th Grade Students who sat for the Neumann Scholarship exam last Sunday Sept. 30 at Landsdale Catholic. Over 900 eligible eighth grade students, on average, compete for this scholarship, representing 112 parochial grade schools in five counties. Only 35 Scholarships will be awarded. This is a four year scholarship valued over 7,500 per year to be applied to an Archdiocesan High School of the students choice. This is quite an honor that our current 8th Grade had so many eligible candidates. We wish them Good Luck and the results will be announced this December.

I am currently part of seven clubs which include Student Integrity Committee, Athletic and Spirit Association, Mission and Ministry, Global Sister Initiative, Women in Medicine, PA Math League, and Villa Voice Newspaper. My favorite subjects are math and science, but I enjoy English and history as well. I hope to pursue a career as a surgeon in the future. Outside of school, I participate in club volleyball and I am a camp counselor over the summer!
