Trunk or Treat Attire
Students may wear appropriate Halloween-themed t-shirts or shirts in fall colors, or they may wear costumes. Costumes cannot be scary and must be appropriate. Masks and headpieces must be removed in the classroom. Kindergarten teachers will send home information regarding the dress code for the kindergarten students. Since classes are shortened, PE uniforms are not necessary, but students should wear closed-toe shoes that are appropriate for play.
- 7:30-8:45: Set up for the parents who have signed up.
- 8:45-10:30: Students enjoy Trunk-or-Treat!
- 10:30-11:00: Clean Up. Have the cars out of the grass for carline to start lining up.
- 11:30: Dismissal (Parents please wait to line up until 11:00 am)

Scary Grams
Do you want to send your little pumpkin something special? Send a little note and lollipop to your child, friend, or teacher! Buy a scary gram and it will be delivered on Monday, October 31! All proceeds will benefit the MTC National Junior Honor Society.

Hurricane Dress Down Day
The Diocese of Venice was devastated by Hurricane Ian. We will have a dress down day on Tuesday, October 18th to help our brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Venice. If your child would like to dress down, please send them to school on Tuesday, October 18th with $5.00 cash or a check for $5.00 made out to MTC.

St. Tim's Fall Fest and Fun Run
St. Tim's Fall Fest and Fun Run is coming on Saturday, October 22. The event is free to attend and all MTC Faculty and families are invited to join the festivities. There will be food, fun, and music.

Sibling Information

Slow Down
We urge you to please slow down when entering and leaving MTC. We share a campus with the church and preschool. We each share in the responsibility to keep everyone safe. A costly accident or injury is not worth the few minutes saved by speeding.

- Family Dinner Nights
- $10 gift certificates/cards to use as monthly prizes for the 16 habits of mind. Each month we focus on one particular Habit. Students who are "caught" displaying that Habit will earn a ticket. Each month we will pull 10 tickets and those students will earn a prize.

Service Hours
You can complete your service hours by volunteering for school events or by donating supplies to your child’s classroom. All families are required to complete 10 volunteer hours for one student or 20 volunteer hours for 2 or more children. Those who fail to meet this requirement will be charged $20.00 for each hour missed.
Service hours are self-reported in the FACTS Family Portal.

Reminders

Lunch: Orders must be placed by 5:00 p.m. the day before. If your child is absent, you must log in to your account to cancel your child's lunch. School Eatery/MTC will not cancel your lunch order. The deadline to cancel an order is 5:00 p.m. the day before the delivery date so that you can receive credit. Orders cannot be canceled or credited after the deadline.

Checking out a student early: Students that are being checked out early, must be picked up before 2:30 p.m. in the school office. Parents should park in the grassy area to the right of cone 2A near the St. Timothy car lot. Please do not park in the grassy area used for the carline.
- Rainy Days:
- We will announce rainy day dismissals via a text message from FACTS. To ensure that you are opted in to receive messages from FACTS, text START to 31706 on your cell phone.
- Park in the grass area in front of the gym. If you are lined up in carline, find the nearest area to pull over and park. Do not leave your car parked in the carline.
- Wait in your car until 2:55 p.m. when we will open the gate. We will hold your child in the classroom until you feel that it is safe to pick up your child.

Keep Me Home If...
Please help us reduce illness exposure to our classmates and teachers and keep your kids home if they exhibit any signs and symptoms of sickness. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy.
Keep your child at home if he/she...
- has a fever
- has vomited
- has diarrhea
- is coughing or sneezing
- has lice
- has a rash
- does not feel well and cannot participate in normal activities.
- has been sick over the weekend and is still exhibiting symptoms.

Internet and Cell Phones
The internet has drastically changed the way children interact with the world. The use of cell phones among tweens and teenagers has jumped considerably. Technology is not without risks and parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s devices.
