MTCF Grants $7000 Towards Calming Room At Library
This past year, MTCF granted over $7,000 to create a calming room in the Children’s Department of the Frank L Weyenberg Library of Mequon-Thiensville. A calming room is a safe, quiet, low-stimulation area that allows the user to relax, de-escalate or relieve stress. It is a necessity for families that have children on the spectrum that get easily overstimulated. This allows a parent to take their child into the room to de-escalate and not have to leave the building or pull out their other children that are using the library.

MTCF grants $10,000 to Mequon Thiensville Little League for River Barn Park baseball fencing
MTLL (formerly TYMBA) and Heat were able to secure a discounted bid from Munson fencing to build two fences at River Barn Park. Timing was of the essence so it could be built in April for spring ball tournaments. MTCF worked with MTLL and Mequon Softball to make this happen. The addition of these fences at River Barn Park will help ensure the safety of players, spectators, and community members while at River Barn Park. The fences will also help the fields at River Barn Park emulate the fields at other parks and fields in the surrounding communities. It is projects like this that MTCF is all about!
