Soccer Programs Fight to Kick Out Pediatric Cancer at Rivalry Game
Earlier this week the Lions and Eagles girls soccer programs came together for a common goal on the campus of High School South, using an annual rivalry showdown to battle against pediatric cancer.

Though Middletown South delivered a 1-0 win on a second half goal by Grace Gironda, the first of the freshman's career, the collective victory comes in the form of a donation to the Go4TheGoal Foundation, a Cherry Hill, NJ non-profit organization on a mission to improve the lives of children fighting cancer by offering financial support, granting personal wishes, funding innovative research, and developing and implementing unique hospital programs.

For additional information about the organization please visit www.Go4TheGoal.org.
Antonucci Records 200th Career Victory
High School South head football coach Steve Antonucci has been at the helm of the Eagles program since 1998, and earlier this month accented a decorated career by securing his 200th career victory, a milestone achievement courtesy of a 27-0 victory over Jackson Memorial.

The win brought Antonucci's career winning percentage to .772 over 259 games. Over that stretch the Eagles have captured six NJSIAA Sectional State Championships, and registered five undefeated seasons, including a 43-game winning streak against Shore Conference opponents from 2003-2006. That mark still stands as a conference record.

Congratulations to Coach Antonucci on all his success.
Upcoming Start Strong Assessments for Students Grades 4-12
Parents/Guardians of students in grades 4-12 are urged to review this letter regarding the New Jersey Start Strong Assessment for important information regarding the upcoming testing window.
The Start Strong assessments were created in response to COVD-19-related school disruptions and lack of available data from spring 2021.

These assessments provide a snapshot of the amount of support students are likely to need in the fall of 2021.

They are not meant to replace any preferred assessment strategies being used locally, but can be used to supplement existing efforts and offer educators an early indication of the level of support students may need.

For additional information please visit the MTPS District Assessment Hub.
