Thorne Chorus Ushers in the Holiday Season with Soaring Performance
Thorne Middle School ushered in the holiday season with its annual winter chorus concert. Grade-level vocal groups and the collective ensemble treated family, peers and community educators to an hour-long set of festive tunes. MTPS Game Designers Invite the Community to Play Along
High School North students enrolled in the Video Game Art and Design (VGAD) Course have released a set of original games for the Middletown Township Public School Community to try out. You can try these games on for size by visiting the VGAD: Game Celebration. Please be sure to leave a comment letting the designers know your thoughts.
Student Holiday Cards Making Season Brighter at Home and Abroad
High School North Applied Art and Design Students in Ms. Kuzmin's class, and New Monmouth Elementary School students in Ms. DellaValle's second grade classroom have made the season a little brighter by designing holiday greeting cards. Greeting cards from the second grade students will travel overseas to help bring cheer to United States servicemen and women stationed away from home over the holidays. Thank you to our MTPS students for their beautiful designs!
Middle School Esports Teams Soaring
Congratulations to our MTPS Middle School Esports for an outstanding Rocket League Championship season. The Thorne Lions (Orange), the Bayshore Dolphins (Y) and the Thompson Lions placed first, second and third in the Shore Conference standings.

We can't wait to see our teams continue their great play in the future!

Live Like De Memorial Scholarship Programs Aids Harmony Families
Earlier this week, Harmony Elementary School was visited by members of the Live Like De Memorial Scholarship Fund, who made a donation to help support school community families during the holidays.

The Middletown-based organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting local families and deserving students with donations and scholarship awards in the name of Deana Bottone Rose. Deanna was a Middletown resident and High School North alumna who succumbed to a an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2017.

HS North Student Honored with
Dwight D. Eisenhower Award
Earlier this week, Nicholas Palmadesso of High School North was honored by receiving with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award. Sponsored by the USMA Field Force and The West Point Society of New Jersey, the award recognizes select, outstanding high school juniors from across the state who have demonstrated exceptional performance in academics, athletics, community service, leadership and moral character, in addition to promoting the values of national service as exemplified by the 34th President of the United States. Congratulations to Nicholas on this well-deserved honor!
North and South Continue to Tradition with Thanksgiving Football Event
Middletown North and South's traditional Thanksgiving football game brought the community together at the Lions' Tindall Road campus for a hard-fought contest. The game was preceded earlier in the week by homecoming festivities, including a bonfire and dance.
Nominations Being Accepted for Educational Support Staff of the Year
The Support Staff Employee of the Year Award is a recognition program whereby the Middletown Township Board of Education has the opportunity to recognize outstanding achievement by a member of the support staff in the District. The purpose of the nomination process is to provide a systematic method to identify these individuals and ensure that they receive appropriate recognition for their efforts on behalf of the students in the school district.
