National Grid , PSEG Long Island and MTRC invite Long Island manufacturers to learn about important programs that can help them save significant money.

Learn about funding opportunities and programs for projects that demonstrate commitment to:
  • Implementing “lean manufacturing” or other similar principles;
  • Exploring increased utilization of existing equipment; and/or
  • Incorporating sustainability and energy efficiency.

Design Innovation &
Robotics Camp
July 27 - August 3, 2018
Students will learn STEM concepts, practical electronics, and mechanical design to build robots using open source software and hardware with the novel robotics kit called SnappyXO .

Application process will be required.
Full Scholarship will be available for qualified students. Opened to students in 5th - 12th grade.

This two week camp will be sponsored by MTRC, CPC and Mechanismic and held at the CPC facility in Plainview.

SUNY-Industry Conference and Showcase: Science and Engineering for Social Good
June 3-5, 2018

The SUNY-Industry Conference and Showcase will aim for outcomes beyond the usual conference by integrating two goals. The first is broad capacity-building for the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement (NCSCE) focused on the coordination and diffusion of civically beneficial SUNY-industry collaborations and the creation of an advocacy network. The second aim of the conference is to showcase existing research and innovation and catalyze cross-sector partnerships. For that purpose, individuals may register to attend the conference.
Presenters will include national and global experts—from within and outside of SUNY and New York industries.
