Two special events were recently added to the MUFON 2015 Symposium lineup.
On Thursday, September 24, the movie - "Travis" - will begin showing at 7:30 p.m. in the Executive Training Center. "Travis" is a 90-minute documentary film recounting the now-world famous 1975 UFO abduction of Travis Walton and the impact it has had on his life over the intervening 40 years - and on the lives of others who were also involved. More information. The stage play, "Cross Country Witness Testimony," part of the UFO Witness Theater by Roger Marsh will be presented at an outdoor stage on Friday, September 25, starting at 6 p.m.
Produced in the style of a 1940s live radio show with a studio audience, the production is hosted by UFO Traffic Reporter Stanton Friedman. Bused in from all over the country, 28 witnesses come to the microphone with their personal testimony from MUFON cases closed as an Unknown. Music, sound effects and live broadcast by Race Hobbs and KGRA Radio teammates. The voices of the 28 witnesses include Jeremy Ray, John Ventre, Jimmy Church, Ben Moss, Tony Angiola and Dwight Equitz from the "Hangar 1: The UFO Files" television show - and MUFON's SAT Team Manager - Chase Kloetzke.. I was in mid-August 2014 in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. If you're a location person, 15 minutes from Ardmore. I live in the middle of the country and it's usually quiet and peaceful at night. I'm a night owl, so usually when I'm up late, I usually play video games or I'm reading a book.
On that night I was playing video games. It was around 3 a.m. and I wanted to go get a soda from the outside fridge. We had a pool and I was staring up into the sky enjoying the peaceful night.
When I looked above the pool, it looked like the stars were really low. I wasn't really too interested and I looked away. Right when I looked away, I saw bright lights.
A New York witness at Howe Caverns recalls an encounter with a UFO from 1967 when an unknown object hovered over his vehicle creating a period of missing time, according to testimony in Case 57320 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The reporting witness and his best friend were returning to Long Island, NY, from Expo 67 in Montreal, Canada when the incident occurred on September 2, 1967.
"It was late and we knew we would never make it so we decided to stop along the way," the witness stated. "We saw a billboard advertising Howe Caverns and we decided to go there for the night and then visit the caves in the morning."
It was Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. The two followed signs to the cavern's parking lot and arrived about 11 to 11:15 p.m. Read more

On Friday, June 24, 2011, at 11 a.m., a law enforcement officer in northern Arizona contacted MUFON regarding a witness who had reported an encounter with a UFO while driving between Flagstaff and Leupp, AZ, at precisely 1:21 that same morning.
The Field Investigator, who had been initially notified, immediately contacted the State Director for Arizona as well as the Chief Field Investigator for the state, Dennis Freyermuth. A CMS report had not been previously made due to computer problems having been experienced by the witness after the sighting.
The CFI for Arizona personally contacted the law enforcement officer and, since the computer issues had subsequently been resolved, a CMS report was filed. Read more.

Multiple triangle UFOs reported
low over Alabama

An Alabama witness at Hartford reported multiple "triangular white or silver metallic" objects moving overhead beginning at 7:13 p.m. on August 10, 2015, according to testimony in Case 69214 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The reporting witness was sitting outside facing the southwest watching his dogs when he first noticed a passenger jet traveling overhead and moving from the southwest to the northeast.
"As the airplane was passing you can hear the thrust of the jet in the distance," the witness stated. "The airplane's altitude was approximately 27,000 to 30,000 feet and it was leaving a contrail in its wake as it passed overhead."
The witness watched the airplane's trajectory and contrail for approximately two or three minutes. read more
Field Investigator Toolbox #12: Them or Us?

I'm going to take a break from the FOIA request topic this week, and focus on a question that must be considered with every good sighting report: Was it them or us?
It is well known that we both build and test experimental aircraft. It is also well known that a large percentage, if not all of those experimental aircraft are designed and built under a blanket of complete secrecy. Anyone doubting the industry's ability to accomplish such a feat should consider the U2, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, the Stealth Bomber, etc., to understand that it is not only possible, but it is usually the way that our advanced technologies are developed. This begs the question; how do we tell if it's made on Earth, or if it came from...somewhere else?
I read once (wish I could remember where) someone's opinion that "if it looks like it has seams, and you think you can see nuts and bolts, it's one of ours." At the time it made a little bit of sense to me, after all, surely even if we could duplicate their propulsion technology, we are still limited by our terrestrial fabrication processes...right?
