Celebrating March 31 as Cesar E. Chavez Day of Service and Learning


Rancho Milpitas Middle School students were featured in this video reading of Resolution 2024.31 Recognizing and Honoring March 31 as Cesar E. Chavez Day of Service and Learning, which was unanimously adopted by the MUSD Board of Education at the March 26 meeting.


MUSD students share culture with Holi presentation


MUSD students Parnika Sadhu, Parthi Pawar, Diya Ramesh, Saumya Mishra and Ashwika Sadhu led an interactive and informative presentation on Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, Love and Spring that was celebrated this year on March 25, commemorating the love and devotion between Lord Krishna and Radha as well as the victory of good over evil.

Calaveras Hills HS selected as Model Continuation School


Calaveras Hills High School was one of only two schools in Santa Clara County – and 31 schools throughout the state – recognized as a 2024 Model Continuation High School by the California Department of Education for providing comprehensive services to at-risk youth through the use of exemplary instructional strategies, flexible scheduling, and guidance and counseling services.

Calaveras Hills HS Co-ed basketball team wins league title


Calaveras Hills High School's Co-ed Basketball Team, coached by Luis Lopez, was honored by the Board and District leadership after securing victories in back-to-back playoff games to win its 2024 league championship.

TRMS chosen as 2024 California Distinguished School by state

Thomas Russell Middle School was one of only 16 secondary schools in Santa Clara County – as well as 293 middle schools and high schools throughout the state – honored as a 2024 California Distinguished School by the state Department of Education.

Milpitas Firefighters support Milpitas HS NJROTC Program

Milpitas Firefighters Union IAFF Local 1699 were honored by the Board and District leadership while presenting a $1,000 donation check in support of the Milpitas High School's NJROTC program.

Inclusion Program Manager Michele Sherer, along with her team of Inclusion TOSA Monica Montoya and educators Wendy Lundeen and Julie Sanchez, shared a presentation on MUSD's Inclusion Practices.

Superintendent Cheryl Jordan shares her State of District update

At the March 26, 2024 meeting, Superintendent Cheryl Jordan shared her latest State of the District Update, which included the district's Attendance Rates thus far this 2023-24 school year, as well as recent community-wide events, such as the Inclusive Egg Hunt held at Delano Malongs Park, a variety of MUSD programs being offered for students, and funding, such as one-time grant funds and a brief introduction of a possible parcel tax for the November 2024 election.

MUSD hires new MOT supervisor

Anthony Valdez joins our MUSD team as the new Supervisor of Grounds, Tranportation and Safety. Valdez comes with experience from Santa Clara Unified and Oak Grove SD.
