Weller Elementary students share Classified Employee Appreciation video


Weller Elementary School student leaders starred in this video reading of Resolution 2025.45 Declaring the Week of May 18-24, 2025 as Classified School Employee Week, which was unanimously adopted by the MUSD Board of Education at the May 27th meeting. Our MUSD Classified Employees were also featured in the CSEW video.

Milpitas HS student leaders explain the dangers of Fentanyl in video resolution


Milpitas HS student leaders were featured in this video reading of Resolution 2025.51 Recognizing Fentanyl Awareness Day and the Importance of Continuing to Educate Our Community on the Dangers of Fentanyl, which was unanimously adopted by the MUSD Board of Education at the May 27th meeting.

Milpitas High School badminton team


Milpitas High School badminton team was honored by the Board of Education and District leadership for the team's many accomplishments this season on the badminton court, including league and Central Coast Section championships.

MHS Speech & Debate star Kavish Shah


Milpitas HS student Kavish Shah was recognized by the MUSD Board of Education and District leadership for being an amazing scholar and becoming the first MHS student to place in the state in Impromptu Speaking.

Spangler Principal Parwinder Johal


Spangler Elementary School Principal Parwinder Johal was honored by the Board of Education and District leadership for being an amazing education leader and receiving honors from the County Office of Education for going above and beyond to serve our MUSD foster and homeless youth.

Weller Elementary School artist Grace Lu


Weller Elementary School fourth grader Grace Lu was recognized by the MUSD Board of Education and District leadership for winning the 3rd-5th Grade Division of a statewide Earth Day Bookmark Contest for the California Association of Science Educators (CASE). Lu's artwork will be featured on printed bookmarks.

Milpitas HS Academy of Travel & Tourism


Milpitas High School's Academy of Travel & Tourism was honored by the Board of Education and District leadership for continuing to build a successful program and providing career pathways for our Milpitas HS students.

Mattos Principal Jackie Vo Felbinger promoted to Director of Elementary Education


Mabel Mattos Elementary School Principal Jackie Vo Felbinger was announced as the new Director of Elementary Education beginning in the 2025-26 school year.

Study Session: MUSD Special Education Inclusion & Least Restrictive Environment

MUSD Learning and Development team members, along with school site staff and students, shared an overview of district-wide inclusion initiatives and efforts to increase students’ participation in the least restrictive environment (LRE), including data regarding special education overall, longitudinal special education enrollment as well as our A-G graduation enrollment/completion and diploma rates for students with disabilities.

  • Approve Boundary Recommendation for Mattos and Zanker Elementary Schools
  • Adopt Resolution 2025.47 Provisional Intern Permit - Special Education in Mild/Moderate 4-6th Grade
  • Determine if Board Member Absences Meet Criteria for Compensation under Board Bylaw 9250
