Milpitas Police, MUSD students form lasting bonds


After Milpitas Police Sgt. Peter Tachis joined the Milpitas High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) for the Flag Salute to open Tuesday's Milpitas Unified School District Board of Education Meeting, the Board and District leadership honored the Milpitas Police Department for organizing and hosting its Milpitas Police Summer Academy, where students joined police officers to experience what it is like to work as a police officer with a variety of hands-on activities this summer.

Milpitas Fire host MUSD learners at firefighter camp


The Milpitas Fire Department was recognized by the Board and District leadership for organizing and hosting the Milpitas Summer Firefighter Camp for MUSD students, who learned about what it takes to be an emergency responder as a firefighter. Superintendent Jordan thanked the fire and police for their continued partnership in making Milpitas a safe community.

Sinnott's American Computer Science League competitors


Sinnott Elementary School's American Science League competitors were honored by the Board of Education and District leadership for their success and participation in the American Computer Science League while representing Sinnott. Winners were:

Celebrating Unity Day Video Resolution


Unity Day is a day dedicated annually to increase awareness and send a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying. Milpitas High School students share a video reading of this resolution.


Honoring MUSD Administrators Video Resolution


Milpitas HS student leaders from Ms. Querubin's Class featured in this video reading of Resolution 2025.18 Recognizing and Honoring our MUSD Administrators for Week of the School Administrator and October as Principal Appreciation Month.

Recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day


Thomas Russell Middle School students in Mr. Dutra's social students class recited Resolution 2025.19 Recognizing and Honoring October 14, 2024 as Indigenous Peoples Day, which was unanimous adopted by the Board of Education.


Principal's Report: Zanker

The Zanker Elementary School Admin Team of Principal Hetal Patel and Assistant Principal Jean Dillon share video presentation about the school's prestigious Golden Jaguar Award.

Study Session: CAASPP results

Results include 2023-2024 ELA and Math, as well as historical ELA and Math data disaggregated by student groups. This data is one of our annual measures and is connected to LCAP Goal 1: All MUSD students will receive standards-based instruction, curriculum, and assessments by highly qualified teachers in inclusive, culturally responsive environments to be fully prepared for college and career.
