Rancho Middle School teacher Vincent Tran selected as one of RAFT's STEAM Educators of the Year


Rancho Milpitas Middle School educator Vincent Tran was selected as one of Resource Area For Teaching's (RAFT) STEAM Educators of the Year Award recipients. Tran will be one of three STEAM Teachers and Administrators inducted into the prestigious RAFT Hall of Fame at their 30th Anniversary Event and Fundraiser Level Up. In addition, as part of his award, Tran, who was honored by the MUSD Board of Education and District leadership at the September 10th meeting, will receive: A seat on RAFT’s Education Advisory Council; RAFT membership for two years; Classroom set of kits to use with their students; and $300 Gift Card to the RAFT Store. Rancho also received credit at RAFT of approximately $2,500, which could go to: RAFT memberships for one year; A Maker Mobile visit to serve up to 100 students; and/or Subscription to our STEAM Dream Box.

Resolutions

MHS NJROTC recites 9/11 Remembrance resolution


Student cadets in Milpitas High School's Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) recited Resolution 2025.11 Honoring First Responders and Recognizing September 11 as Patriot Day A National Day of Service and Remembrance, which was unanimously adopted by the Board of Education.

Milpitas HS Crochet Club


The Milpitas High School Crochet Club was recognized by the Board of Education and District leadership for their community work teaching crochet at the Milpitas Senior Center.

Sinnott, Weller and Randall Tech Challenge Teams were recognized by the Board of Education and District leadership for their ingenuity and participation in the Tech Challenge.

MUSD announces new Director of Business Services


Superintendent Cheryl Jordan introduced Trang Vo as MUSD's new Director of Business Services. "I am so excited to join a team whose values align with mine and a district that values every student and their cultural background," shared Vo. "I look forward to serving our students and staff to maintain our educational excellence."

Attendance, Positive Behavior and Physical Education are focal points this school year at Sinnott Elementary School, according to Sinnott Admin Team of Principal Laurie Armino and Assistant Principal Gina Sainten who offered a brief glimpse into their school community.
